Alguien me puede ayudar a localizar a localizar el significado de un BOTON DORADO con inscripcion «AFRICA» es de un retrato, creo siglo XVIII. En la chaqueta, color blanco y fajin rojo, tiene 6 botones.

De todas maneras si todavía no lo has identificado te informo que en el libro Botones de Uniforme España, 1791-2011 de Guirao, Macías y Milián, esta clasificado como botón de Infantería de Línea (1805-1811) Ref. 060206 África. Según R.O de 15 de abril de 1805 el botón es plateado o dorado según el regimiento.
